Hey Sparklettes,
Club Baton Atlantik would like to wish everyone a great competition season. We will miss you all by not attending the Eastern Canadians this year but as you know we are having a competition May 3rd and 3 weeks after is our Provincials to qualify for Canadians. Nationals being held in Moncton means that we will have more athletes qualifing so it is more training for our athletes and coaches. Good Luck to all athletes at your Eastern Canadians and CNBTA Nationals. The CBTF Canadians will run from June 29th to July 3rd if you are in the area.

Well, I finally got around to posting this message -- we couldn't find any internet access in all of Disney unless you have your laptop there. We have been back from Disney for a week, and I am already making plans to go next year -- it was that good! Of course, we had not planned on this being an important year for Shanna as she has just moved up to Beginner, but she did get what she really wanted -- she made it into the 8+ soloists parade. After having watched the Disney parades on previous days, I'm sure you can imagine how happy she was to be in the parade herself! We also attended the clinic on Monday and we both thought it was great -- just those two things made it worth the trip.
We made a few mistakes along the way, but this was our first time in Disney, our first time at Twirlmania, and really Shanna's father's first time being at a competition (he must have felt like he was on another planet, eh?) -- we're ready for the next one!

Hi everyone,
Well did we ever get the shock of our lives at the awards ceremony. They were giving out Mousecar awards to the highest score in all the events like 2 baton, 3 baton, military march, etc.... Well, Alyssa got called to the stage as she won high score and got the mousecar award for best appearing. Her photo is going to be on Twirlmania'a website as their photographer had them all go to have it taken. She has a gorgeous trophy with Mickey on the top. We can't wait to show you them. She was happy. She bombed in the pagent so this made up for that. See you all soon, leaving tommorrow, I am ready to come home!

Well the results for yesterday are in. Alyssa won 1st place in Best appearing!!! Ashley and Shana both took 4th place in basic march. We are doing well. A full day of events today and I will be updating you regularily so keep checking in. Oh, Loretta got her glue for her two front teeth!!! I got a photo yesterday, Funny!!! Miss you all. Thanks everyone for the good luck wishes.

Sherry, so glad you got your laptop, now we can find out what is happening with you guys. Hope it is not to scary and all is well! Yes we have snow , snow, and more snow. School was cancelled yesterday, thank goodness it was not today we need to practise. Tell Ashley and Alyssa that Cindy and Angelina practised the senior number all by themselves since Kaley is away too this week. Hi there guys, we are all together at the hotel tonight. The kids are all swimming and we are chatting. We are all doing great but are under a tornado warning tonight till 11pm. (Lisa and Loretta knew this, I did not)I am using my new laptop and this is a trying experience until I learn to use this well. We were going to practice tonight but the rain put a damper on that for Alyssa. We are in New Orleans!! OMG, we have genuine Mardi Gras beads for you all. The Parades were amazing. The food is great and the music is unbelievable. We have not been able to access a computer until today. See you all soon
